They turned down his option, but are going to try to sign him at a cheaper price

He's an outstanding backup. I hope he sticks around.

Agreed! Blanco is a quality backup and very good guy to have in the clubhouse. Big Jim will get him re-signed in no time.

Not to mention the invaluable mentoring he's given Soto. He definitely needs to stay.
