I'm not sure. I know a U of Miami linebacker was shot earlier in the season.

Miami defensive tackle Bryan Pata, he was a senior, and a top prospect for the pro's. It was ruled a homicide.

I believe it was about a week after the FIU - Miami brawl. Again a huge loss for a team.

What a sad story. Sounds like he was in the wrong place at the wrong time with other people causing trouble. I just can't believe how much violence there is all the time. Just crazy.
