Didn't think this would actually happen. I think the Yankees win on this trade, depending on how much cash they have to give the Dbacks.

I agree. Even though Randy might do better moving back to the NL, he isn't the same pitcher he once was. He probably only has a couple more years left anyway.

I can't believe they are bringing back Johnson. They let Gonzo go because he was too old. All the guy wanted to do was finish his career here and be done. Looks like Johnson is going for the same thing and they are going to give it to him. D'Backs are a messed up organization.

Yeah, Doba, I forgot about their whole thing with Gonzo. It is pretty messed up. I've always liked Gonzo.

They traded him to make room for Roger.....I'm surprised the D-Backs took this trade...

Looks like the Johnson deal is pretty much done.

My guess is they are making room for Roger to come back. I guess if anyone can afford to pay a guy a huge sum of money for only a couple months, it's the Yanks.

Randy's near the end...Pitching in the NL should help him some.

Maybe he'll hit another bird in Arizona.

randy still has something in the tank if his back is right, and the yanks could not have come out any better. the two mil they threw in to get all those arms was a pittance,,, anybody think they are stockpiling arms for a mid season acquisition of dontrelle or johan? that seems to be a popular rumor. also, the shortstop might be a jeter replacement if he ever becomes and outfielder.

Ok, Dbacks extended his contract - 28 million through 2008.

Now is that 28 million for 07 and 08, or just 08? Because if that's for just 08, then that's absolutly ridiculous.

I believe it's for '07 and '08

:D Yeah, I think that would have to be for 2 years. Who knows though. I mean M.J. made $25 million a year and look at A-Rod, so I think The Mullet should deserve that too. :p
