View Full Version : Maybe we'll now snap out of it

In the sixth inning, down 5-2, the Cubs loaded the bases on a Soriano walk. Then The Riot hit a grand slam that barely cleared the left-field wall to give the Cubs a 6-5 lead. Now the Cubs have two on and no one out in the 7th (after Denise Richards' horrible rendition of Take Me Out to the Ball Game). Maybe Theriot's granny will snap everyone else out of the offensive slump, because if a No. 2 hitter can get a slam, anyone can.

I hope so Vanman. Wish i could be watching. :(
Theriot picked a fine time to hit one out. He isn't exactly Big Mac up there. LOL
I don't care who says theriot is a terrible hitter. I think he is a solid hitter, and he doesn't strike out much. :D

Denise Richards was terrible. Horrible interview.
Marmol lead off walk. Not looking good.

He walked another, but then struck out the next three.

I was surprised when I walked in the door after getting off the bus to hear "And that's a Grand Slam for The Riot". I thought I had misheard at first.
One more homerun and Theriot beats last year!

And boom goes the dynamite! Theriot hit a two-run shot in the first inning today to pace the Cubs to a 6-1 win over the Marlins.
