On the 25th anniversary of "the Sandberg Game", Ryno and Sutter joined Waddle and Silvy and talked about that game...

And then Ryno gives his thoughts on Sosa and the Hall of Fame....

good stuff!

Cubs Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg told WMVP-AM 1000 that former teammate Sammy Sosa does not deserve to be elected into the Hall of Fame.

"Part of being in the Hall of Fame, they use the word integrity in describing a Hall of Famer, in the logo of the Hall of Fame, and I think there are going to be quite a few players who are not going to get in," Sandberg said Tuesday.

Sandberg and Sosa were teammates during the 1990s, but Sosa didn't appear to bulk up significantly until 1998, one year after Sandberg retired.

Sandberg said he was "blinded" by Sosa's doping and thought he simply was working harder in the off-season.

I have to admit, considering the two are my favorite Cubs of all time, I was a little upset to hear Ryno speak out the way he did. I thought at first he may have just been referring to the fact that Mac only had 20 percent of the vote, but the more I read into it I think he truly believes Sosa doesnt belong. Then again he is a manager and it wouldnt look right if he came out and said that he did belong. I would love to hear Grace's take on the subject.

But if you look at his speech to get into the HOF, it would be very hypocritical of him to accept Sosa as a HOF memeber.... his whole speech was on the Respect for the game... and I do even remember a shot about Sosa in his speech!

I am not a Sosa fan and if it were up to me none of the steroid users would be in the Hall.

However, that rotten guy Sandberg should not be one to speak about integrity. Sandberg is a self-righteous jerk who cheated on his wife and stole a neighbor's wife. What's that got to do with baseball? Nothing.
But it does say something about one's integrity and one's morals. Of which
idiot Sandberg has none.

Sandberg's teammates hated him. Ex: Shawon Dunston, Rick Sutcliffe

The HOF obviously has nothing to do with integrity. It's called the Hall of fame, not the Hall of Honor.

Wade Boggs and Sandberg were inducted together. 2 cheaters.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
