What do you see in your Cubby Crystal Ball?
I see Zambrano throwing a No-hitter.... (against the Cards or White Sox would be great, but I would take it against anyone!)
I see the Veteran's Committee of the HOF finally voting Santo into his glory!
I see more than one player on the Cubs going for the NL batting title.
I see it being extremely hard to get tickets to a game in July!

1. Cubs will win 92 games, 1st or 2nd place NL Central
2. Zambrano will win 20 games
3. Cubs will win 4 out of 6 from the Sux
4. 1st AB for Soriano at Wrigley will be a thunderous ovation kinda like when Nomar was 1st introduced as a Cub.
5. Wood will be a starter sometime this season
6. Uncle Lou will get into it with Ozzie Gullien
7. The goat curse will die.

I predict that Kerry Wood, will be healthy enough to claim the closers role
by mid may.[and end up with 30 to 40 saves]
I predict that Soriano will have another 40/40 season[if everybody in the starting lineup stays healthy]
I predict that Jim Hendry will pull off a major trade before the start of the regular season.[I still think Jaque Jones will be somewhere else]
I predict that, while all the focus has been on the Cubs big boppers[Soriano,Rameriz,Lee],Michael Barret will have a great year at the plate.
I predict that Donald Trump will buy the Cubs from the Tribune Co.,then hire
Rosie O'Donnell as the first women manager, just so he can tell her,
"Your Fired!" He will also exchange hair styling ideas with Ron Santo.

I really have to agree with you on both of these. Because of his injury and his suspension, and the focus being on Soriano and Rameriz, I think people have kinda forgotten about Barrett and how he was making a run at the NL batting title last year and may fly in under the radar.

I sure haven't forgotten Barret. I think he will definetly have a solid year at the plate with all the attention of Ramirez, Lee, and Soriano.
I see Barret hitting another grand slam against the Cardinals.

I would of gone nuts. I mean, I was going crazy in my living room, and screaming my lungs out, so I can't even imagine how crazy I would of gone if I were there.

My mom lives across the street, and after it happened, she called to see if me and my son were okay because she heard yelling and screaming! I told her she needed to turn on the TV and told her what happened, then told her we were just fine, my son slept through the whole thing! I can still hear the crack of the bat and the crowd start to roar as it made it's way out toward the left field bleachers!

Here's what my crystal ball is saying:
1) Cubs will win 94 games and take the Central Division by at least eight games.
2) Zambrano will win 20 games and the Cy Young, three other pitchers will surpass 15 wins, and Wood will save 35 and get the Rolaids Award.
3) Soriano will be the first 50-50-50 man (50 HR, 50 SB, 50 2BH) and win the MVP.
4) D-Lee will go .350-42-115.
5) ARam will hit .345-35-100.
6) Barrett and Pierzinski will throw down again, this time at Wrigley after Barrett plows into Pierzinski at the plate. Meanwhile, Uncle Lou and Ozzie get into their own Pier Sixer.
And finally...
7) Cubs will win the divisional series over New York in four, the NLCS over LA in six and the World Series over the Red Sox in five. The winning blow will be DLee in a blast over the Monster against Dice-K.
There, I'm calling my shot!

Cubs will shock the baseball world by winning the NL Central and defeating Philly to become NL champions. Not sure if they can beat the Yankees in the WS though.
My prediction: Chi Cubs vs NY Yankees in 07 WS
Matt Murton hits .315 or better with 20+ homers, D. Lee gets COMEBACK PLAYER OF THE YEAR (.320, 44, 120 rbi), Soriano wins MVP in 07 (scores 140 runs, hits 40 homers, steals 40 bases), Rich Hill strikes out 200+ batters, Carlos Zambrano wins 18+ games & posts a sub 3.00 ERA to contend for a Cy Young award.

I'm going to have to disagree with you here... Boston in the WS? That seems like stretch... Think we'll beat the White Sox...

I agree with all this. And how about Len showing more emotion too. That is one thing I liked about Chip. He had some of Harry in him that made the games exciting to listen to.

2006 vs the Reds= 16-7 was the score, we all know how 2006 season turned out.
2005 vs the Diamondbacks= 16-6, not much better season overall
2003 vs the Mets= 15-2, yes, we made the postseason, but we all ended up in hell by the end of it!
