I wanted the Jets to win because my mom got stuck with them winning the superbowl (I got Da Bears though, so it's ok) and because I wanted to see an upset.

You can never count out Brady and the Pats out. Especially in the playoffs.

I'm a Dolphins fan so I hate both teams but i would have much rather seen the Jets win.

GO CHARGERS!!!

Yeah, sorry Ivy Killa, I kind of wanted to see the Jets win too. Either way, I think it will be the Chargers in the Super Bowl. As long as the Bears are there, though, it doesn't really matter to me. :D

As nervous as i am about the Chargers i think they will lose as well as the ravens against the Colts, then it's gonna be between the Patriots and Colts to decide who represents the AFC in the super bowl.....of course with Brady's postseason success and Mannings ability to flop, i'm sure we'll see the Pats in the super bowl.

I'm a transplanted Chicagoan in San Diego. I certainly do not cheer for the Padres, since I've been a lifelong diehard Cubs fan. Since I never really got into the Bears, I've always been a lukewarm fan of the teams in the cities I've lived since I left the Midwest.

With that said...GO CHARGERS! LT is such a classy guy; I'd love to see him get a ring. Plus, the city of San Diego has never won a major sports championship. It'd be nice for their long-suffering fans.

And...GO CUBS!

Yeah, I obviously want the Bears to win the whole thing, but really the only teams I really don't want to see win it is the Pats, Seahawks, and Ravens. The other teams are good stories and haven't won it all in a long time.

I would love to see the Bears win it all. BUT I don't think we will, the Chargers will I think.

Wow i didnt know about that

If the Pats can win then they just build onto their legacy as a franchise.....and c'mon if our Cubs all of a sudden won like 3 WS, would you then say if they had a chance for a 4th that some other team that hasnt won in a while should? Of course it's easy for me to say all this as i'm a Pats fan, not trying to argue or anything. But i see where your coming from as a non Pats fan. One of the things i like about the Pats is that after all the success theyve had recently you would think they would be cocky and overconfident but they infact arent. I actually saw Brady on espn earlier and he was saying how the Chargers are the top dogs and that they'll have to come up with a formula to beat them.

I agree, but the Patriots don't deserve anymore lol. Yeah brady might say that, but you know they will put up a fight, the patriots are always good.

I sure as hell hope your right...but damn the Chargers have looked unstoppable this year, hopefully the Pats do find some kind of formula that will work.....does anyone know if SD had any weaknesses?

No problem Ivy. I see your points being a Pats fan. I don't hate the Pats or anything, I just would like to see one of the other teams win it. You know, like the Bears! ;)

Oh, and if the Cubs won 3 W.S., I would have no problem seeing them win a 4th! :D Pretty sure the world will end before we would have to worry about that though!

Maybe not quite Armageddon, but I would say the Cubs better get cookin'. 22 years to get 3 W.S. titles. GO CUBS! :D

Well, my predictions were off.

I hate the Pats and i hope they don't make the super bowl

Ivy Killa
Jan 14th 2007, 8:36 pm
They might just make it. Now all they gotta do is handle the Colts....which if they can beat the Chargers they can win it all. It's all downhill from here.

What I think is great about all this there is no team that is going to runaway with the Super Bowl. Everyteam has struggled one time or another and all have room for improvement so it should be interesting to see how it all plays out. If Chicago gets the Rex that showed up today they have a good shot at going to the SB and if Manning fails to put one into the endzone next weekend Brady will send them home to watch the SB from their couch.

I think the championship games are set up nice. You have the Colts and Pats going at it in the AFC and those are always good games between those two. Then in the NFC you have the Bears against the feel-good story of the year in the Saints. I'm excited to see both games. I'm hoping it's the Colts and Bears in the Super Bowl. :D

I dont think we'll see a Colts/Bears SB, Manning will more than likely choke. So a Patriots Vs. Bears super bowl might be more likely.

Ya know, if it does become Bears-Pats in Super Bowl 41 (I'm going to stop using Roman numerals for all SB games after XL), maybe we might see some revivals of the Super Bowl Shuffle. Question is, who from this crew would subject themselves to do a rap song 21 years old? I don't think Urlacher would. Nope, the '85 Bears were the only team in NFL history to have the gumption, the balls and the skillz to pull off the SBS and actually be able to win the big game.

It would be pretty cool if they all broke out into the SBS after they are handed the Lombardi trophy. They gotta get by the Saints first though. Everyone at ESPN except for John Clayton has picked the Saints. Kind of a head scratcher.

Jan 19th 2007, 12:39 pm
Yeah, I don't quite get why nobody seems to be picking the Bears in this one. I understand the reasons to pick the Saints, but the Bears lead the NFC in points scored and allowed the fewest points in the NFC by far. They won 3 more games than the Saints and the game is being played in Chicago. Now, I know the Bears D isn't quite as good as it was earlier in the season, but too much is being made of Grossman and the fact he MIGHT choke. Brees could choke just the same. I think it will be a good game and I'm looking forward to it. :D

I think that the bears have a huge advantage that it's being played in chicago.. especially with what the weather is supposed to be this weekend.. While yes, the bears have lead the NFC in points scored this year, and aloud the fewest points in the nfc, I think they had a really easy schedule.. also, their defense is still pretty banged up, isn't it? Also, their offense is rediculously suspect. Do you really trust Rex in this one? If I were Lovie, and I promise that I'm not, I would throw the ball less than 10 times this game. In fact, I'd throw it less than 10 times in the next two games.. combined. Plus, NO has an incredible offense.. with, or without Joe Horn. At any rate, should be a pretty good game.

I know I'm probably in the minority, Brutus, but I do have faith in Rex. He really showed me something I guess with how he played against the Seahawks with all the criticism he's been taking. I just don't think he is being given enough credit sometimes. I know he's had his share of bad plays and the D is banged up, but I just have this feeling the Bears are going to surprise people tomorrow. ;)

I'll give him some credit: it takes mad skillz to personally be responsible for 6 turnovers and still come away with a W.

Da Bears have been the "Rodney Dangerfields" of football all season long.
No respect!!!
It seems that all the national media is picking the Saints. The Saints have a
good team, with an explosive offense,a good young coach, and a lot of mojo
on their side, but they did lose 6 games. If you listen to most of the morons on ESPN,you would think the Saints were the second coming of the "72" Dolphins!!!
The only way Da Bears will be given any credit for the great season they've had is to win the Superbowl!!!!
Get ready for Mardis Gras New Orleans, forget about the Superbowl, that is for the city of Chicago, and a certain team known as "DA BEARS"!!!!!
