Mark Grace will be at the Cubs Convention this year....
The Daily Hearald (http://www.dailyherald.com/sports/rozner.asp?id=267742)
This is great! It was awesome when he sang the seventh inning stretch last year! Now he is going to take part in the Cubs Convention, for the first time since he left the Cubs organization! He is such a part of the Cubs history, it has been a shame that it ended on the terms it did. Welcome home, Gracie!

Man I wish we could put him somewhere in the dugout, what a great asset that would be

I think Grace's longterm plans are to manage...so I could see him placed in a minor league coaching position in the future if he wants to be in the Cubs organization. Broadcast booth would be wonderful! I would want a color man to have a history with the Cubs...such as Ronnie...who can tell us stories of the past!!

He's getting better....his first year with the Cubs was rough.

Brenly is cool, i just think Grace would do a better job of keeping the commentary lively and as ryno4ever stated he has a history with the Cubs as a player and would probably never run out of funny *** stories to tell us....Him and Sean Casey were the most talkative players i ever saw.

Yeah if i was Casey and I hit a sure base hit into left field and then got thrown out at first I would be real talkative too....HaHa That will follow him the rest of his career

Hmm, Jody Davis, Ryne Sandberg, and Mark Grace managing our farm system? SWEET!
Having Grace in the booth would be outstanding, telling old cubs stories and such. He would kinda remind me of Harry i think. Plus I think he would have pretty good chemistry with Len too. In any case, having Gracie back with the family would be welcomed no matter what the capacity.

I could see Ryne Sandberg manager, Mark Grace hitting coach, Greg Maddux pitching coach sometime in the next 10 or so years wouldn't that be a college of coaches..lol

Brenly is not a bad broadcaster,he lacks any Cub or Chicago history, god how I
miss Steve Stone, but Gracie would be a great fit with Len.[BB did do some broadcasting on WGN radio in the early 90's]

I agree that BB is a good color commentator but he lacks the passion for the cubs. Len shows that spark that goes with a good color commentator and him and Gracie would be great in the booth. Keep Gracie in there a few years and the two of them would be a lot like pat and ron.

I live in AZ and get to listen to Grace in the booth in needs some work he is boring he tries to hard to analyze everything he needs to just be himself and I can tell you he joined in on taking shots at the Cubs for awhile with little Tommy who is still bitter about getting pushed out in Chicago. wouldnt watch any D Back games because little Tommy would go out of his way to rip the Cubs. Lost a lot of respect for Grace. Cubs and the fans were good to him.

I never liked Tommy much so, meh. Hearing that Gracie was like that about the cubs is a bit disheartening. If he wasnt that great as an announcer, knowing grace he'd want to improve im sure. Plus, in this environment im sure he would liven up a whole bunch.
