If so, would you mind posting some stuff about it after (or during, if possible)?
i had to work the day the tickets went on sale, and they were sold out by the time I got home.

They were sold out in less then 30 minutes, which is just ridiculous.

Lucky!!!! I was reading an artical in this months VineLine about the convention, it sounds like a blast.
You should buy a bunch of those project 3000 bracelets and sell them to all of us who didn't go.

tickets are available, but how hard will it be to find close accomodations, especially if the Bears host a playoff game that weekend as well. I live over two hours away from Chicago....

For those of us who can't go...WGN radio (which is available on the internet) will be doing a lot of remote broadcasts from the convention starting Friday night and lots on Saturday morning and early afternoon.
Here is the link: WGN Radio Convention Broadcasting Line Up (http://www.wgnradio.com/sports/cubscon2007sked.htm)
The Sports Central one on Friday night is awesome, as is the Kathy and Judy one on Saturday morning. The girls hold nothing back when interviewing the players.
The Kathy and Judy one is Saturday morning at 10:30am-11:30 am. This year:
The Girlfriends put Mike Bielecki, Neal Cotts, Ryan Theriot, Scott Eyre & Sean Marshall in the hot seat. You never know what they might ask!
To hear a last years "Not for women only" at the Cubs Convention 2006, visit this link (http://archive.wgnradio.com:8080/ramgen/wgnam/shows/kathy_judy/audio/cubscon060114kj.rm)
I promise you will laugh! They interview Mike Bielecki, Ryan Dempster, Scott Eyre, Rick Sutcliffe and Juan Pierre.
The 2005 convention with Todd Walker, Mike Bielecki, Ryan Dempster, and Glendon Rusch. (http://archive.wgnradio.com:8080/ramgen/wgnam/shows/kathy_judy/audio/cc05kj050122kj.rm)
The 2004 Convention with Michael Barrett, Joe Borowski, Derrek Lee, and Rick Sutcliffe. (http://archive.wgnradio.com:8080/ramgen/wgnam/shows/kathy_judy/audio/cc2004kj040117kj.rm)
The 2002 convention with Kyle Farnsworth, Jason Bere, Mike Bielecki, and Corey Patterson. (http://archive.wgnradio.com:8080/ramgen/wgnam/shows/kathy_judy/audio/cubcon020119kj.rm)
These women don't hold back...they ask very "personal" questions for the guys and you can learn a lot about the player's personalities by the way they answer the questions.
check them out when you have time...each link is about an hour long, but well worth the time to listen to!

Thanks for those links Ryno, they are funny. Piece of advice to anyone that is planning on listening to them after you listen to the first one you will want to listen to all 4 hours of them and make sure its not late at night and your family is sleeping because you may wake them up with your laughter.

Does anyone know of a program out there that will convert the Real RAM files to an MP3 file so I can put them on a cd to listen to in the car?
