I see that Jim Carey is in a new drama movie called "23". I saw the preveiw for it on a The Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie i rented. It's going to be weird to see him in a serious role. Whenever I think of him I think of Ace Ventura Pet Detective.

He has tried to do drama several times before. They've been flops. I know he did The Majestic and a "made for tv" drama. I seem to remember him saying a while back that he wanted be be considered more of a versatile actor and not only thought of as a comedian. I think his best role outside of his normal "do anything for a laugh" routine was The Truman Show. That was really a good movie.

Truman Show was awesome! I haven't really cared for any of the other Jim Carey stuff, except that maybe "Liar, Liar" was OK.

I saw a preveiw for it when I went to the The Hitcher. It looks like a real good movie. I definetly wanna see it.

I guess I stand corrected. I didn't realize that he has been in a few serious roles before this. I was never to big of a Jim Carey fan in the first place.

Me neither...the only thing I ever liked him in was "Bruce Almighty." And now they're making a sequel "Evan Almighty" and Evan's God instead of Bruce and he has to build an ark or something.

I saw an interview with him where he practically put the point across (without really saying it literally, I guess) that he regretted doing stuff like "Ace Ventura"

As for "23", wow another conspiracy theory movie. Alright!!!! we haven't had one of those in awhile......

What about man on the moon? As much as it's about a comedian, it's really a pretty heavy drama, and he was spectacular in it.

And I cannot believe this mb doesn't allow the word ****. That's ridiculous.
