I'm not one to give the southsiders a lot of praise, but not a bad pickup. Erstad seems to never take a play off. Gotta love that.

Good move for them since Pods just had groin surgery.

I have one question. Many times right before a season starts a player has surgery. Why not have it after the season ends then your ready for the new season.

I've seen this happen many times and it just blows my mind.

I don't understand that either gem. Or what about when they get injured during the season and instead of deciding to go ahead with the surgery and recovering in the offseason they decide to wait until the season is over and then have to miss some of the following year as well. Doesn't make much sense to me.

I've often wondered that myself. Like for example if your team is out of the playoff race why not just have the surgery so you can be ready for spring training and opening day.

that is wierd isn't it... but anyways... this is a good pick up for them. he plays hard and puts the team before himself. to bad it's the sux and not a respectable team.
