Ok, my highschool, Lyons Township that is, has it's own radio station, that is run by students, and has students as the DJ's. Last Wednesday I tried out to get my own slot for this semester, and I thought I did terrible, and had no shot of making it. But I was at my friends house, and I got a call from one of the guys there, and he told me I made it, and I was goin nuts.
So now starting this Friday from 9-11 PM, you'll get to hear me on 88.1 FM, if you live in this (http://rock881.net/rock/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=16&Itemid=31) area. If not, you can still listen online if you just go to the top right corner of that page. It's gonna be awesome.

Is it a 24 hour station?

Yea, last year at their annual Rock-a-thon, they raised enough money to get the stuff so they could broadcast 24/7. Now that I have a slot, I'll probably be able to do the Rock-a-thon this year. It's a huge event at our school, and it goes on for 88.1 hours straight, and they show it on our school tv station too.

I don't find them talented at all, and I think the singer sounds like a choking cat. Their songs also sound the same.

It went pretty well actually. That joke was somethin my friend made me do.
I was very surprised to find out that there was a list of songs, and I had to choose 10 of those songs to play in the 2 hours. That's why you might of noticed that some songs were a bit out of place, and I had no idea that you couldn't play more then 1 song by an artist in the 2 hours slot, so I kinda had to change my whole prearanged playlist. And I didn't have enough time to end it with Dream On by Aerosmith, so I'll probably save that for next week.
But thanks for everyone who listened, I really appreciate it.

The station's inside my school. Not at my campus though. My school huge so it's split up into 2 campus's. I go to South Campus which is where the freshman and sophmores go, and the junoirs and seniors are at North Campus, which is the campus that has the radio station.

Well I'm resurecting this thread because tomorrow at 7am I'm gonna be on the radio doing the stations annual Rockathon. Basicly I get to sit in the studio for 8 hours (7am to 3pm) trying to get people to call in and raise money. You can get the link to listen on the website I gave earlier. And if anyone happens to like in the LaGrange area (which I don't think anyone does but oh well) you can even watch me on my school's tv station. It's either channel 16 or 99.
