This guy is starting to become a joke. Just retire already. The guy is good, but it's as if he's acting like he would be a savior for some team by only pitching the second half of the year. I'm just glad the Cubs aren't one of the teams waiting around for him. Good luck with that one, 'Stros.

Yeah it's stupid. I wish he would just come out and say "i'll only play if i get a contract to only pitch in the second half, a lot of $, and i don't want to travel with the team, but i'm dedicated to helping the team and being a good teammate"

I posted this a few times already this year. He is a joke. The Astros barely missed the playoffs last year. If he would've started the whole season for them last year they probably would've been in the playoffs and not the Cards.
The Astros are ignorant to wait around for him this year.

Seriously this is getting ridiculous. He shouldn't make a team wait for him to decide when he's ready. He had the end of last year, and this entire off season to think about it. It really should not take that long.

Roger Clemens-S- Astros Feb. 16 - 5:53 pm et
In an interview with KRIV-TV, Roger Clemens said there is only a 20 percent chance he'll play in 2007.
"Koby asked me last night when we were working out, he was doing more of a workout than I was," Clemens said. "I still told him 80-20 that I wasn't going to play." We'll believe it when we see it. Everything previous to this suggested there was an even better chance of him playing than there was a year ago in this time.

The Disastros are sort of screwed w/out him. Oswalt and Jennings will be decent. I don't know Woodroe Williams is much of anything anymore- with their crappy defensive outfield, should be an adventure. Offense is nice with Lee and Berkman and maybe Ensberg. I am tired of hearing about Clemens however. Good news is that we only have another 4 months of it.

Williams was ok in that big porch in San Diego but he's going to give a lot of taters at MM....;)

Im as tired of hearing about whether clemens will retire as I am with whether Brett Favre will retire every off season. These are the stories sports people talk about most next to T.O...Just retire...PLEASE

I agree! I've never liked him and never will. I remember the Cubs played the yankees a few years ago and it was him and Wood pitching and Wood got the win. I was thrilled!

Yeah, I remember the hype that surrounded that one. It was a good game.

I just hate how he claims that he never made a team wait for him. But he also said if a team needs him mid season, then he might consider it. I mean really, that is making a team wait for you. If he's going to retire, he should just do it. Not saying I hate the guy, but this stuff just gets annoying.
