IF the Cubs were to win the world series? Back in 2003, there was a beer commercial they played throughout the second half that asked Cubs fans a similar question and it was neat to hear the actual responses...
Me? When the Cubs finally win the world series, I am going to get a Cubs tattoo... The Cubbie bear with the Cubs emblem holding the W Flag... with the year right underneath it. I have had it designed since 2003... but just waiting for Next Year to get here so I can actually get it done.... I must note, I am the biggest wimp when it comes to any sort of pain, so this would be a big thing for me to step up and do!

I would probably have a heart attack, and my dream would come true. I wouldn't ever stop bragging. I would make everything in my room cubs, get the official WS shirt, and hat and all of that.

I've already mentioned in previous posts what I intend to do if the cubbies win it all.. and it involves me hanging from light posts, then being beaten to death by police with billy clubs.

My living room is already a Cubs theme! I have my autographed Todd Walker jersey in a frame on one side of my picture window, my autographed Ryne Sandberg career highlight poster in a frame on the other side, a Cubs clock, two Cubs throw blankets over the backs of each couch, a big framed picture that is black and white of Wrigley Field at night taken from above the press boxes with lights shining down on the field, and lots of little framed pictures of me and my son at Wrigley Field all over the shelves, tables, entertainment center, with little Cubs stuffed animals placed all over the living room. My dad offered to come over and help me paint a Cubs emblem on a wall like I had at their house. My bedroom there had a huge floor to ceiling wall to wall Cubs emblem painted on one wall. I told him that if they won the series, I would think about it for the outside, maybe the garage door!

Brutus, aren't you in Cardinal territory? I don't think you would be beaten by police with billy clubs, I'm thinking you'll have to deal with Cardinal fans... that's gonna be worse!

I LOVE it! That's great!:D
I'd plan to try to get to Chicago where all the excitement would be happening, get drunk and celebrate and then as my son says, "If the Cubs ever win the World Series, Mom, you'll have to be hospitalized." :p

I think that I would be in Chicago.... if I can't get into the game, I will be one of the thousands of people standing outside Wrigley as we saw in 2003! Home or away!

Well I've already decided that if they get to the World Series, that I'm going to Wrigleyville every night, weather I have tickets or not, I'm gonna be there when it happens. And if I'm there and they win, I would take out a boom box, stand on top of something very tall, hold the stereo over my head, and play "We Are The Champions" for most of the night.

I just know I'll be in Chicago when it happens, I don't care when it is or how much it costs. Anything else that I do will be spur of the moment, which I think will be the best way to enjoy that moment once it finally does come. Not sure about getting a tattoo though! :D

Back in 2003 i was planning on just a mild celebration....involving me getting hammered and running around the outside of my house naked several times while shouting "CUBS WIN, CUBS WIN" and setting off fireworks. You know, just the usual ****.

Ah yes just another beautiful day in your neck of the neighborhood. I was thinking of something along the same line but my wife refuses to participate. So I just save my vacation time and hope & pray that when it happens we can travel and enjoy the atmosphere. Where ever they get it at home or on the road I would like to be there. Don't worry be happy because it will happen.

I wouldn't go to school for at least a week, never take off my cubs hat unless I'm putting on another cubs hat (i have 17 lol!), stick a big cardboard life size cut-out of Soriano, Lee, or big Z on every sox fans lawn who's ever harrassed me about being a Cubs fan, wear nothing but Cubs clothes for at least a year, paint a huge cubs logo on my house, and never stop smiling for the rest of my life.

Hmm, well it would be morning over here, and nobody would have a clue what i was referencing.... i'd probably get picked up for being drunk and disorderly: which could be the a good tribute actually.
Similarly, when Hester scored that TD in the SB I let out this really weird yelp in the middle of my rather quiet local.... i really suffer socially for these sports...

Cubs fans will party harder than if the bears would have won the SB. We havn't had a championship for lord knows how long, I don't even wanna talk about it.
Man, I love my cubbies.

Well, the thing is only about half to two-thirds of the city would celebrate a Cubs victory, whereas the whole city celebrates a Bears or Bulls championship. Not sure about a Black Hawks championship, though.

you would have to put the cubs celebration in a category by itself. The Cubs have a national appeal. There are more Cub fans outside Chicago than in and around it. The Cub party would be Nation wide :D

I'd probably drive around my town with the windows open screaming "WE WON! THE CUBS WON!" to no one in particular.(and to everyone, really) Actually, I'd probably just sit and stare at the tv in shock for about three hours. You could probably set me on fire and I'd still be smiling.

Hmmm, tough to say but Ill take a stab.
In no particular order:
weep
crowd surf around wrigley
savor the moment then drink till i cant see
unfurl a W flag and NEVER take it down
wear my santo jersey everywhere i go for the rest of my life
say goodbye to talking since my larynx will be shattered
die happy

That may well be the expression I've been looking for to describe how it felt when Scotland beat France in October! Up til now I've been saying '6 hour orgasm', but I think yours is better!

That description is actually because of something that happened when the Cubs won the Division Series in '03. A friends accidentally spilled coffee on me moments after we got the last out, and started apologizing, but I had hardly even noticed. Go ahead and use it. It's a little more polite.
