but I didn't catch the entire interview. I am hoping they post it in the audio archives soon because I caught the very end of the part when they were discussing Zambrano. Did anyone catch the entire interview, because what I did hear didn't make me jump for joy!

I didn't even know he was on there. I would of watched it if I knew that.

Sports Central is WGN's radio show from 7pm to 9pm every night... David Kaplan is the host (Tom Waddle just left the show to join ESPN 1000).

The way he was talking, it was as if he hadn't even sat down and talked with Carlos about what his long term wants are.... "I am assuming Carlos will want to stay with Chicago" was one thing that put an alarm bell in my head. He said he thought that even brighter days were ahead for Carlos, and the Cubs are hoping to be a part of those days....
I will see if they will post the audio on wgn.com. My seven year old was talking my ear off after I picked him up at his dad's, so I didn't get a chance to really pay attention to it all.
Once Kap started talking about whether the Cubs are going to change their views on the OBP than in previous years, I really kinda tuned it out.
I guess I wanted to hear him say something a little more reassuring that he will get a deal done soon with Carlos, I just didn't hear it, and the way he danced around some of the questions, it really kinda raised a red flag in my head. Something's not right with the whole situation.

I don't think there is anything to be alarmed about. Hendry is just going on his regular routine of not letting anyone know the personal end of his job. I would be willing to bet the negotiations are in a much further stage than Hendry is gonna lead us to believe. And thats just do to his ability to do his job and not let the media take things out of context. Don't get to alarmed I still feel Hendry will get this deal done.

It will be interesting because Tom Waddle just left the show after YEARS of it being Kap and Waddle. He was a Red's fan, though, so there was always a lot of banter back and forth between them. They are pretty much letting Kap do the show on his own now, but has lots of guests and call ins.
