Here's what will happen:

The MLB.com forum for the Cubs will start to empty out and come over to the fogpog community.

Cubs.com will have no result but to merge with fogpog.com to become the official team message board purely out of the fact that there are more people with a better setup.

Tons more members will join, fogpog will grow, more moderators will be appointed, forums will be more full.

I've seen it happen people, now if we can get a lot of people to join, then we can be the official fansite for the Cubs.

Now, we just have to find out a way to reach thousands of Cubs fans. We can't necessarily merge with Cubs.com now, we don't have them in a bind...yet

This will take a while but I'm sure there is a process where we can get thousands more to join. I believe the best way will be during baseball season if we can get on TV with banners or t-shirts saying fogpog.com or FogPog or something. I don't know, we are looking for suggestions as usual but I guess mine would be banners, maybe a LOOOOONG one in the front row of the bleachers. Let's get it done :D

i like the idea of banners at games, t-shirts etc, but i dont think becoming the official cub site is a good idea (besides, all the ml forums are operated together, there are no independent ones, and mlb would probably demand ownership be transferred to them), it would be good to have a lot more members but i'd rather avoid the nutjobs.

Why would you want that? The reason I think a lot of us came over here because the people are right on time, there's good baseball talk, and no trolls...

Trolls can be dealt with, Scuba and Webgem have that kind of authority. As for the ownership requested by MLB, they wouldn't actually control the site, they would just have it as an entity to the Cubs.com site, also putting some cash in Scuba's wallet lol

Wht would be funny if it ever happened (not that it will), is that Scuba and Webgem create a "Personl Attack Forum". It will probably be the most poppular forum, but it would keep the trolls out of the real baseball talk.

I hope we can get as many people to post on here as they do on there... but only if they wanna talk about the Cubbies (and in a respectable manner). The way I look at it...this site has only been up since November. There are almost 300 registered posters. Can you imagine what it can grow to once the season starts and if the Cubs have an awesome year? People will be looking for a great place to talk Cubs, what better place than right here!

Lucky for me i guess that i never used the cubs.com forum.......**** was too complicated, like the layout of the board and everything.....it sucked so i never used it.
