Mark Buehrle-S-White Sox Feb. 17 - 4:23 am et

Mark Buehrle revealed Friday that he turned down a contract extension from the White Sox in July of last season.
Right before his season headed south in a big way. The deal was believed to be worth about $33 million for three years. Buehrle said he didn't regret declining the deal. He'll make $9.5 million this year after the White Sox picked up their option year in October.

I guess it's no secret where Mark wants to pitch next year...;)

I hadn't heard that. Sort of interesting. D'ya really think he'd come here? (I'm assuming that that is what you were implying) Would we really want him? (Hopefully we won't need him by then)

I have a feeling he'll be pitching for our Central rivals next year.

I would take him as long as he stops sliding on that tarp during rain delays.

Me too. I love how they made such a big deal about it. If he was a Cub, he would have injured himself.

Sox also announced that after this season, they won't renew the contracts for Jermaine Dye and Tad Iguchi. I think they're pretty screwed next year.

What a pity...

Iguchi suprised me, but I definitely didn't expect them to re-sign Dye. Crede's days are numbered too with Josh Fields in the wings. Who knows what KW is up to, maybe he is saving up to make a run at Miguel Cabrerra or looking to bring Tejada into town at mid-season if the SS falls through, but the Sox are still in contention.

Tad Iguchi suprised me, too. To be honest, so did Dye, but I suppose it does make sense if you really think about it. But like you said, they'll still have a pretty good team.
And I really hope the Sox don't get Cabrera.
