Ok guys, I've gotten two 12-team fantasy baseball leagues put together through Yahoo: one Points-based league and one H2H league. They are:

H2H League:

Points League:

I am the Iowa Cubbies in both leagues. Draft times can be changed if another time works better for most people. It would be nice to have different people in each league, but I'm not sure just how many people are interested so anyone is welcome to join either or both leagues. Also, please only join if you are committed to playing through the whole season. It really brings the leagues down when there are "dead teams". I'm guessing many spots will fill quickly, so be sure you get in on the leagues while you can. If you guys have any questions or suggestions, let me know. I look forward to competing with you guys! :D

Hey Scuba, I tried the links and it said that I am not allowed to see that page since I am not a member of that league. Is it too late or am I missing something? I want the H2H league if possible.

I joined the Head to Head as NMCubs. This is actually my first fantasy baseball experience. It should be fun to share it with fellow Cub Fans. Though I will be unable to attend the draft, I will be happy with whatever the Computer gives me.

Yeah I know, wave. I'm kind of surprised. I thought there were quite a few more people looking forward to this by the way it sounded before. There isn't even anybody in the Points league! :confused:

I will join the H2H, but I have to work tomorrow night, so I won't be there for the draft. If that isn't a problem, let me know and I will sign up.

Heather, you can still join if you won't be there for the draft. You'll just want to make sure that you rank some players before hand to help you end up with a better team. It would great to have ya.

The drafts are tonight and tomorrow night guys, and we still have 4 spots left in the H2H league (draft tonight) and 9 spots left in the Points league (draft tomorrow night). If these don't fill up, we may be forced to change the draft time. Also, if those of you that are in the leagues already or want to be in the leagues feel there would be a better time to have the drafts, please let me know as soon as possible so we can see what we want to do. Hopefully, however, we will be able to stick to the times that they are now. So go sign up! It should be a great fantasy year! :D

Both leagues have been open to the public. There is less than 6 hours before the H2H league draft tonight and a few spots are still available. Check them out!

You should be able to. The computer will just make your picks for you according to the way you rank the players until you get there. Hope you can make it. :)

As I stated before this is my first venture into fantasy baseball. I am a diehard baseball fan and fairly knowledgeable about the game. But I know absolutely nothing about the fantasy game. I would appreciate help on how to draft well etc. I should make the draft about 8. Hopefully I do well and do not make too many dumb mistakes!

Sorry, I missed the darn draft. I was called up for jury duty and wasn't at work today. Totally forgot the draft was tonight. I had a reminder set and everything! It doesn't look like I faired to bad anyway.

I think I did fairly well. I have deep pitching and deep corner infield spots. Some prospects in the middle infield and a passable outfield. If someone could look it over and tell me how I did for my first draft. I am the NMCubs. Good luck to all this year!

Pretty good draft, CubsFan23. The one major weakness I see is you won't be getting any saves. It is just one category, but you will get beat in that every week with the guys you have now. The only other thing would be your SS Drew, but seeing as how that isn't usually a deep position to draft from, he's not a bad gamble. Good luck with it!

I love my team, it's stacked. Nobody can match my power I have 4 guys that hit 184 homeruns between them last year and that's just from 4 guys lol.

I'm not that bad in the power department. Good bullpen... Good Speed... 4 closers. I do lack SP, but I'm not too concerned with that. I'll sacrifice wins each week to take saves, era, & WHIP...

I got another draft tonight...

By the time I got there all the good closers were gone. I am gambling that Gonzalez may take over closer duties from Wickman. If he was still with Pitt I would be OK in that department. Maybe Wheeler will be a suprise in Houston (Of Course that means they would have to do well).

Wilson Betimet qualifies as a SS as well so he should give me some quality if unspectacular numbers. Drew has massive potential, I am hoping he has a decent year.

I am fairly deep at third, so if Gordon performs like I hope I will have good trade bait from the 3rd base side if saves are really killing me later.

I am gambling on a few youngsters (Drew, Young, Garza and Gordon). At least the gamble won't hurt me unless I start having injury problems. My starting pitching should garner me a few wins this year at least.
