Braun NL Rookie of the year.

Tulowiski (sp?) was my pick, but I hate Braun so my opinion is a little biased.

Tulo was robbed, IMO. SIde by side comparison of all of the stats shows that Tulo is far and away a better all around player. Sure Braun is a masher, but I like to think of it as comparing Jose Canseco to CAl Ripken. I am not sure anyone that would say they would rather have Conseco..

cubbie_kern Nov 12th 2007 7:44 pm

yeah, how many errors did Braun have?

weeghman Nov 12th 2007 8:46 pm

I thought 27 but I will look it up.

26 Errors in 112 games and .

Tulo had 11 in 155 games and I am guessing a hell of a lot more opportunities at SS. Not to mention an unassisted triple play.

That SHOCKS me! I was going for Tulo too! I thought for sure their postseason got him the "title"!

TO me it is disgusting how offensive #'s are the only thing that is looked at. Maybe it is just the baseball purist in me.

I thought Tulo should have got it also. Didn't he play the entire season with the Rockies? They never take into consideration the intangibles, all the little things that don't show up on the stat sheet.

Braun seemed to come off quite cocky in the last couple of months. I think he will be brought back down to earth in 08 when the pitchers figure him out. All Braun and Fielder did all summer was play arena baseball.

Where is Skipper when we need him. He loved this guy.

Braun had a fab year.

At the plate yes but the guy is a joke in the field. Call me a baseball purist but Tulo is more deserving. he was top 5 in most offensive categories and was sick in the field.
