Maybe it's just me, but I was really thinking we may be in the low 90's for Wins this year, and am really hoping there is more than 2 games between the Cubs and Brewers in the end.....

I don't think the team improved 5+ wins just from external acquisitions, at least based on stats. Anything pushing the CUbs past 90 wins will to come from internal improvements and things like not playing Koyie Hill for a month or having a merry-go-round in CF. a 2004-05 Zambrano would help.

I agree 89 or 90 wins is pretty much right on with what I was thinking. I was also thinking the Cubs would win by 5ish games. While Gallardo going down for a little bit might hurt the Brew a game or two, switching Braun to the OF and bringing Bill E Hall into third was probably the best off season move they made. Braun, alone, probably lost them a couple games with his horrible play at 3rd.

You're absolutely correct
Braun's defense was historically epicly bad, somewhere along the lines of "Heavens Gate"

I wasn't thinking as much as our "minor" improvements, but the how it seems as if most of the teams in the division actually seemed to get a little worse.
