Talking Zambrano's triple on Monday

That was awesome! That whole first inning was awesome. When they showed the replay and watched him take off into Superman mode (although his cape didn't keep up with him in his wipeout between second and third). Pleasac had just said how anytime Z is up to the plate, you don't know what you are going to see!

I like is how Z can hit the ball, he has power, but he always swings for the fences. I didn't see him make the triple. But, I always get nervous when pitchers are going around the bases as hard as they can run.

That just adds to his arsonal as a pitcher. Not only can he throw 98 if he wanted he can also hit homeruns. Any any offense we get is a plus.

Can Big Z be our DH during the interleague part of the schedule, if so, that would be awesome!

If I was the Cubs manager, I would definitely look into this. At least try it a couple times and see how he does. Heck, you could even have Marquis do it with him!

Carlos hit one that looked like it was leaving the park...it bounced off the cf wall hard. As this happened, Carlos saw it didn't go out and kicked it into super high gear. His legs couldn't keep up and he wiped out between second and third. He still safely pretty much crawled into third base. John McDounagh was in the booth later, and Len asked him if he was holding his breath when Z wiped out, and he said yes, but had Z not wiped out, he probably would have tried for an inside the park homer.

Carlos also hit a double down the left field line as well.

He played after that happened, and they said it was nothing serious or major. Basically took him out for precautionary measures. It is spring training, the cubs were blowing the giants away, so no real point to risking further injury. I don't think we have much to worry about here. He wasn't limping or anything like that.

Blanco took a foul ball off the knee pretty hard and went down. The trainer came out and looked him over, but he stayed in for the final pitch of that inning and then Soto came on.

The Giants had a pretty gruesome collision with their 2B and CF late in the game. It looked a lot worse than I think it was. Both guys ran at each other full force looking up at the ball and collided. Both were on the ground for quite awhile, but the announcers think it was just the wind getting knocked out of them. The 2B came out of the game, the CF stayed in. (Sorry, can't remember their names...they were the minor leagures playing late in the game).

Samardja did get to face Bonds, who got a base hit off of him.

I loved the spill. I thought it was quite hilarious. Glad he's ok.
