Is Houston blind?

They have a terrible team going nowhere....they should sell and yet they try and add on.....they added Randy Wolf a couple weeks ago and tonight they added Latoya Hawkins.....It seems as though they do this every year, they hang on to their good players even though they're losing. They need to rebuild!! Their managemant is the saddest bunch right behind Peter Angelos.

Their entire management should just give up....Trade Lee, Berkman, and the illegal SS and build around Pence or another young player they get back in a trade. That's what I'd do, get a crap load of young talent ready for the majors in a year or two and go from there. It's like they live in a bubble.

It looks like Ed Wade and the Houston Astros knew what they were doing. It just goes to show you that maybe teams should do whatever they can to win during the season no matter where they stand in the dividion races. Trying to win no matter where you are in the standings sets a tone to your fans, young players, and entire organization. Plus what does it hurt to actually try and win all the games you can? ..... Good thing the Astros didn't listen to you. I mean come on, trade Berkman and Lee? Seriously? Next season when Houston signs either Ben Sheets or A.J. Burnett they will be our biggest competition in the NL Central.

You really think the Astros is going to sign Burnett or Sheets?? I don't think so. If Dempster leaves the Cubs I believe they will go after Burnett. Sheets I don't know about I am thinking the Yankees because you know they are not to happy how they are going to finish this season.

Why wouldn't they try to sign them? They've go a good lineup and with some pitching could be a top contender.

The Astros will absolutely sign a good starting pitcher for next season. Infact current Astros players including Lance Berkman and Roy Oswalt are already recruiting Ben Sheets to come to the Astros. The Astros will be very tough next season! ..... I disagree with your point about Dempster. I think he will be back. Hopefully at a discount. But if for some reason he does leave I think the Cubs will fill his spot from within. Marshall, Samardzija, Hill, and Veal will all compete for his spot.
