Basically a non-factor at Wrigley. The basket does a good job.

I'm not so sure about that. I seem to remember when there were 2 or 3 maybe even 4 times real close together when there were some close home run calls at Wrigley and i think the umps got 2 or 3 of them wrong. And most of them went against the Cubs. Seems like that was just last year or the year before. Who knows. I could also be completely wrong. It's happened before.

Maybe once a year does a ball shoot through the basket and not called a HR. It's not like Minute Maid in Houston where the stupid HR boundry jumps up and down like a heart monitor.

I agree Wrigley has a lot less quirks than some of the new parks out there. I was just saying that there was about 3 close calls with the basket in the span of about a week or 2. I realize that was a fluke and not a trend, but it happens.

screw up baseball like they ruined football .
