Thumbs up And this is why Aramis is my favorite player...

Read this article when you have some time...

http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/art...=.jsp&c_id=chc

What more could you ask for from a player?

- Hits for power
- Hits for average
- Is a run producer
- Patient hitter
- Hits in the clutch
- Plays tremendous defense
- Is a leader and gets along with everyone
- Has the "just doing my job" attitude

I'm not sure what anyone else thinks, but I would have to say getting Aramis was the greatest trade the Cubs ever made. I can't express how happy I am that he is signed with us for a long time. ARAMIS FOR MVP!!

And to think he was a "throw in" when we got him..... kinda like Sandberg was a "throw in", too! I think that has been just as awesome... to watch him grow and become a great player right before our eyes!

Well, sometimes these "throw-in" players become some of the best players around, because they have something to prove.

Don't get me wrong, Soriano is awesome and Lee is great... but when it comes to a big hit in a crucial situation... gotta be Ramirez at the plate!

I hope that Ramirez can pick it up this postseason. We can't afford another 0-for-12 like last year. If he does it again, he might get the A-Rod label. But I'm confident he'll get it done this year.

I hate to sound so predictable here, but obviously I agree with all that has been said here. I've felt this way about Aramis almost from the beginning. I'll have to say he has surprised me though and developed into an even better player than I could have even imagined. He has really come a long way in the past few years, but the improvement with his footwork and his discipline at the plate this season has really put him over the top. He's really gone above and beyond even MY expectations for him!
