If this is true, how come he's not 'calling out' Ramirez and Theriot for sucking??

how come Samardzija is not at AAA??

I'm not talking to you personally Lee, but do people realize that no matter what Bob Butthead says, Soriano is one fo the most liked players in the clubhouse and most friendly to reporters??

I swear people get most of their opinions about Soriano by listening to asswipes like Brenly, Sullivan, and Kaplan rather than what his teammates and other players and mangers around the league say. Even Frank Robinson likes him, despite the overblown 2b to lf issue at Washington.

The idea that Z and Soriano are these conceited assholes is completely false. Sometimes I think Cubfandom, like in Boston or New York fans, is nothing but a freakin' gossip mill.

Is it possible that Lou and Jim know something health wise that is could be wrong with Z's arm? They know he has a lot of miles on that arm, and a lot of money laid on that arm to go a few more years...and by putting him in the pen it cuts down his innings by alot.

Maybe it is just Lou making a move to make it look like he's doing something, even though his hands are completely tied as far as what he can do.

That Z arm thing is one thing I think people have brought up, but it still doesn't make sense to me.

It's probably better than overpaying prospects or bringing up Jackson and Cashner, but that's like saying getting hit by a hugo in better than being hit by a semi-truck.

Unfortunately, I doubt this even shuts up the 'OMG Z HAS AN ATTITUDE' people, they will conveniently ignore he agreed to go along with this plan.

BTW Silva's first year in Seattle he had a 2. something ERA in April. By June it was 6.00 something.

listen and try to wrap your head around this, it's pretty simple. PITCHING IS NOT THE CUBS PROBLEM THEY NEED HITTING.

WHATEVER YOU HAVE OF VALUE YOU NEED TO TRADE TO GET SOME HITTERS.

Z is moveable and will bring the most back IDIOT

The arguement you made about Silva not going to the pen is the one I made for Z not going.
You can't even follow the simplest of concepts.....

Nobody said Silva is making more money than Zambrano... I said he's making too much money...to be traded. Carlos Silva, the entitiy, isn't an inticing pickup for any team, regardles of how well he's pitching...Plus, why move Silva to the bullpen when he's pitching so well as a starter? It makes no sense to break that rythym up.

Z is the EASY choice to be moved to the pen. Why?

1) He's by far the hardest, and least likely of the starters to be traded.
2) You do not want to mess with Ryan Dempster's mind-set. He's come a long way to be a starter.
3) Ted Lilly is just coming off an injury. Lilly also is trade-bait, if the Cubs fall out of it by the trade dead-line.
4) Gorz/Well are openly auditioning for clubs, in-case of a trade. Both for their future careers, and to maintain their high trade value, you want to keep them as starters.

I see you come from the "Lee school of logic"...

Ok...

Please explain to me how Carlos Zambrano will bring the most back in return, in a trade...

and you know this how? Are you a baseball insider and know what all the gms are thinking? Does anybody honestly really know what the hell they're talking about?

Point is: people have opinions... and you may not always agree with them. That doesn't make you right or them wrong, so quit calling people names and questioning their IQ. Just give your opinion and if they disagree, fine (and vise versa).
