The more you watch these guys play. "Ugh" they are not a Team in any sense of the word. Ricketts should back up the truck and start with Hendry then Lou. Let the new GM come in and hopefully make some changes that could make the future more interesting. It is sad to see these guys get "Guranteed Millions" and then rest on what they did 3 or 4 years ago. Let's face it Lou doesn't have a clue when it comes to putting a batting order together. I hate it when the other team scores 1 or 2 runs and you feel out of the game because the offense is so bad. Then Lou say's "Big Shake-up Time" for how long? 1 or 2 games. Color Lou as "Out to lunch" who in their right mind keeps a lineup in the power spots the same when Aram & DLee would be lucky to be batting at a .200 average between them?

Fester said that Colvin was going to play every day . He was not in the line up today. He must have forgot .

Another dumbass all right handed line up against some idiot throwing garbage.

They could have scored four runs and never lift the bat off your shoulder.

I was admittedly wrong about this team... I thought they would be much better than they are. I believe it's time to prepare for next season and beyond...

1.) Fire Lou now. Hand the reigns over to Trammell.
2.) Trade Nady, Lee, Lilly... all of which can be traded easily, and net something solid in return.
3.) It may be getting too late, but try and sell high on Wells, Gorz, and Fontenot.
4.) Insert Marshall into the rotation, and Colvin into the everyday spot in RF. I'm not a big Colvin fan, but he deserves a shot, and the Cubs should find out now if he fits into their future plans.
5.) Give Jackson, Gaub, and Cashner, playing time...now.

Condolences ..... maybe chump change.

What does anybody know about this kid Simpson?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In my 50 years of following baseball this season has presented me with two truly original happenings at opposite ends of the spectrum that I thought would never come to be. The astounding reversal of what might be expected produced by Carlos Silva and the almost as equally astoundingly complete collapse of Aramis Ramirez.
Go figure - I can't.
I thought about this and have developed a theory. I am certain that Carlos Silva is a incubus and siphons his abilities from a player on his own team and Ramirez is his victim !
I have been beating the drum to fire Lou for 2 years now.
I , today , completely reverse that opinion.
I want him to stay and ride this team all the way down. Let a huge failure be the last management memory the baseball world has of his legacy!
Include his struggles, and hefty player option for next season...not much.
I'm of the opinion that the Cubs should take another approach toward the Aramis situation... Aramis is too good of a hitter not to turn things around. Let's see what he does the rest of this season, and if he turns things around at a reasonable level offensively, offer him a restructured deal to be the Cubs everyday 1B for the next 3-4 seasons. DLee will most likely be gone, and Aramis just doesn't have the ability to play 3B at a high level anymore.
Aramis will hit again...that's for sure!
Aram out of the lineup again
Carrie Muskat twittered something about a possible benching.
Koyie Hill playing again, Castro hitting between Hill and Lilly :-(
