Wasted Moves

How many players has Hendry acquired just to replace Dero and Wood?

DeRosa was a good player. The way you talk about him, you make it sound like he was the second coming of Ernie Banks. Get over it. He is gone, and never coming back.

In fact, some Cub fans made me sick over the weekend, how they could give DeRosa a bigger welcome back then Woody makes me sick. Wood as a Cub for 10 years, 4 playoff teams. DeRosa for two.

I believe that we should support the team we have. I liked DeRosa but he is history. People complain about the trade without seeing what we got for him. Let's judge this trade further down the road. And I also agree with your observation on the standing ovations for DeRosa, he was loved but he is no longer on this team. Give him a nice standing "O" his first time up and then go to work on him. He was loved, appreciated but no longer wears a "Cubs Jersey" when he plays out in the field. We have a few problems to clear up but I like the looks of "Blanco playing 2nd base" Let's hope that Aramis get's healed up and comes back strong.

DeRosa was always a crowd favorite when he was a Cub. He loved playing here. His emotions showed when he left. People remember that as well as Wood. I remember Dero saying if you can hit - you can hit- meaning it doesnt matter if you are LH or RH.

Im sure most of this has been mentioned this year, but if Miles, Font, Blanco, etc. were doing a better job then it might have been different as far as the ovations. Since the team is hovering around .500 AND 2-5 games back depending on what day of the week it is, the fans are obviously upset, especially when the guys numbers blow away anyone on this team.

Yea , these were the same dumbasses that showered D. Lee with boos for a slow start. We have gotton more from Lee than DeRosa would have ever given us. I guess they beleive that if we had Derosa , Soriano would be hitting .430 and Soto would be right behind him with .350 and 30 homers. If we had Wood we would have four or five no-hitters by our starting staff and Harden would go seven and not get lit up in Detroit like he will tonight !!!!!When a player would give up money to play for the Cubs , that is when I would feel bad if the leave.
