did anyone else see that the Yankees signed Mark Prior to a minor league deal, he will be competeing for a rotation slot!!!

Prior , Wood and maybe Big Z , it looks like Larry is getting the band back together
Does anyone remember how good Prior was ?

I doubt that he will be back with the Cubs. But my memories of "Calf-zilla" are good ones except for the injuries that the guy had to suffer through. I had very high hopes for him when he came to the Cubs. And between him and "Kid-K" they were exciting back when it we were 5 outs away. It is too bad that Cub management was so inept at the time.

The Brad Hawpe (I think) line drive in 2005 pretty much convinced me Prior was some sort of Greek tragic hero or something.
