Does Sammy Sosa belong in the HOF?

With the MLB Hall of Fame being within hours of announcing the Class of 2013, Sammy Sosa (along with McGwire, Bonds, etc.) have their name on the ballot. Do you think he deserves to be in the HOF? If so, does that open the door to the others (McGwire, Bonds, Clemens, etc)? Do you think any of the PED users should even be considered? If so, do they deserve an "*"? I'm so glad I'm not one of the writers who have to decide on this year's class!

I don't know if Sosa belongs in the HoF this year or not. There's talk there may be no HoFers this year, with Craig Biggio being the closest. We'll find out tomorrow.

I wouldn't even put him in the Cubs HOF let alone the baseball HOF. I really never cared for him.

It doesn't seem that he has changed much. I'm sure most of you have heard of Pinterest, correct? It's kind of like an online bulletin board, a place where one can organize websites of recipes you like, crafts you want to do or like, your favorite things. I also find it somewhat amusing that for 5 years now, Sammy has kept silent. He has just faded into baseball history, with the exception of an interview I saw with him with Gail Fisher on ComcastSportsnet a few years ago. Now, he is throwing out pictures of himself in a comfy yellow sweater in his luxurious house, not your typical pinterest page, but whatever. He also is now on Twitter!

All coming out on the internet the week of the HOF announcement! I'm thinking he may have hired himself a new PR person!
