Cubs Convention

I just booked my hotel room during the Cubs Convention in January. Unfortunately, i'm only booked for Thursday and Friday night.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips about:

Events--Which are the best ones to go to? Like I said, I'm basically staying for Friday, cause I have to leave Saturday morning......any ideas anyway? lol

AUTOGRAPHS--Where are the best places to go in the hotel/ outside the hotel during the convention? Any success? Any tips in obtaining an autograph at the convention? Methods?

Food- Does anyone know where else is a good place to eat other that Blarneys? Now don't get me wrong, Blarney's is goood! Is there any place else, though?

I hope to hear some good tips/advice!

I'm hoping to get tickets this year. Good thing about living in the suburbs is that I don't need to book a hotel room, I just need to take the train downtown.

I went last year and friday there is not much gong on. make sure you are there for the opening ceremony and they usally have interviews with about 4 players or coaches at a time for WGN radio which was really cool last year. It pretty hard to get autographs the lines are huge. I stood in line for a few hours last year to get big Z's. Last year on Firday night they had some ramdom people signing autographys like E-Pat, Rob Beck, pat hughs and others I dont really remember who but no current superstars.
