Lou speaks Sorianos language in calling him out

according to a report on comcast, Lou Piniella yelled at Soriano in spanish to show some "guts" (you could imagine what he actually said. Guts was prob. cleaned up for TV)

I think it is Lou that needs to show some guts right now. He has to trust his players to make contact and give some hit and runs or steals. The Dodger P's are too good to try and string 2 and 3 hits together. Now of course last night we were down so quick, That pretty much takes that part away

pitching and defense is what has put us in the 0-2 hole, not Soriano.

no question he's not helping with his bat - but you never win MLB games when you put 4 marks in the E column. Sorianos fielding in this series so far has been sufficient.

Do you understand what a leadoff hitter is suppose to do ????

In fairness, he hasnt had a good series with the bat, but he did lead last nights game off with a single to LF and then went to second via a passed ball. A man on second and no outs with your 2,3,4 hitters coming up has to score. Theriots AB was horrible. Im not saying he should have bunted him up either. Theriots natural stroke is to hit the ball to the right side. I would have let him have a shot swinging and then bunt with one strike maybe. I know Lee followed that with a K, but if Soriano is at third it changes the way they pitch to Lee and Lee changes his approach at the plate.

Now I've read it all

Bims said Marmol 'imploded' when the Cubs were down 6-1. Now Soriano is the reason the offense sucks, not the fact the #3/#4 hitters can't get the ball out of the infield, and there is an overall failure on the cubs to move runners over.

Why does Soriano need to be called out? It's not like he's playing half way. So a guy who isn't hitting well for 2 games deserves to be called out? Give me a break! Soriano has had a good season. He doesn't deserved to be singled out here! Lou has really lost it!
