Sam Fuld is still playing and making the highlight reels for a 70-58 team.

McGehee is hitting .315 last seven days on a 78-54 team.

Weird that these below average part-time players seem to be doing so much better than a sure thing player like Pie.

You'd be hard pressed to find any Cubs fans call Felix Pie a "sure thing"...especially after Corey Patterson! Pie had 4th outfielder written all over him from day 1.

Casey is among the worst hitting 3B in baseball

Hitting is kinda a big thing in baseball... Very few player's are so good that it out ways their bad offense. Sam Fuld is a good defensive player...but he can't hit a lick, hence he is a 4th outfielder. Felix Pie is actually a very good defensive outfielder...

Casey is an awful defensive 3B...

Did you seriously just post a player's fielding percentage, in hopes that it would support their defensive ability? Seriosuly? Lee... You will NEVER understand the game of baseball. Never!

You boast the accomplishments of the mediocre... from Sam Fuld to Koyie Hill... Randy Wells to Tyler Colvin... You've compared Wells to Maddux... Said Hill should become a 3B... Who are you arguing against? Nobody thinks/ever thought that Pie was/is good. He's a 4th outfielder...at best!

But to fail to qulaify Fuld as a crappy hitter, and 4th outfielder... Casey as having an awful season, and being a really bad defender, is ignorance!

Pie's career has been derailed by various leg, foot, and groin injuries that have destroyed his speed and defensive abilities, two assets of his game.

If a player can't stay consistently healthy in their early to mid 20s as a part-time player, they are not going to last long in the MLB.
